Aqua Fóssil Chandelier

Amarist’s most recent exhibition “Aqua Fossil” immerses visitors in an imaginary future where water has disappeared, remaining only in fossil state. Artists Arán Lozano and Clara Campo, the Forbes’ 30 Under 30 artists behind Amarist, give us a glimpse of the impact the absence of water would have on our environment. It reminds us of the urgency of preserving our most vital natural resources. Their Aqua Fossil series is currently exhibited in the Museum IAACC Pablo Serrano. All the works in the exhibition are developed in Alabaster stone, using an innovative technique created by Amarist. It’s chemical composition is curiously based on just two molecules: Calcium Sulfate and Water, which could be poetically translated as fossilized water.
